SimplyPats Specifications

System Requirements:

• AMD or Intel Processor 2Ghz or above
• 1 GB RAM
• 40 Mb free Hard Drive space plus space for data files
• One free Com Port with Standard UART (If using a downloadable tester)
• If using a USB Serial Converter we recoomend one containing the FTDI Chip Set (Other chip sets may not work!)
• Minimum Screen Resolution 1024 by 768 Pixels
• 32 bit (High Colour) depth

Firewall Software should be configured to prevent blocking of Com Port used to download. Mobile Phone and other software that uses the com ports should also be configured or disabled to prevent interfeerence with downloading your PAT Tester.

Email Systems Supported:

SimplyPats will only automatically email when either of the following Email programs are used:

• Microsoft Outlook Express Version 6
• Microsoft Outlook
• Microsoft Windows Live Mail
• Mozilla Thunderbird

We recommend you use Microsoft Outlook (tm) as you will also be able to use the automatic setting of Retest appointment reminders (see Outlook Add Appointment)

Microsoft Office Support:

SimplyPats will automatically create Microsoft Word documents providing you are using Microsoft Office 97 or above. Microsoft Office 2000 or above is required to Send Appointments to Outlook.

Specific Version Information

Manual Entry Version

In the Manual Entry Version of SimplyPats, the Download PAT option is unavailable as you are not permitted to download from any PAT Testers.

MPAT SUITE (Martindale) Version

The MPAT SUITE (Martindale) Version of SimplyPats, only supports download from the MPATPLUS, with manual entry of Asset and Test Data also supported.

KEWPAT Pro (Kewtech) Version

The KEWPAT Pro (Kewtech) Version of SimplyPats, only supports download from the Kewtech KT74, KT75, KT77 and Robin SmartPat 5000 5500, with manual entry of Asset and Test Data also supported.

TRANSMILLE Version

The Transmille Version of SimplyPats, only supports download from the Transmille 6080, 6080 Plus and 6080 A, with manual entry of Asset and Test Data also supported.
