Minimum Screen Resolution for 800 by 600 Pixels (1024 by 768 preferred)

Firewall Software should be configured to prevent blocking of Com Port used to download. Mobile Phone, Camera, GPS and other software that uses the com ports should also be configured or disabled to prevent interference with downloading your PAT Tester.

Word And Email:

In SimplyPats Version 5, the feature which automatically emails a customer requires Outlook Express (tm) or Outlook (tm). Similarly the feature which automatically writes a Microsoft Word Document to your customer requires Microsoft Word 97 (tm) or above.

USB to Serial Com Port Converters:

Although 1 free standard com port (9 pin RS232) is required, the very latest computers and laptops often come without a serial com port. SimplyPats will work with a USB to serial port converter which can be added to your PC to provide a com port.
