Free PAT Testing Reports

Additional Free PAT Reports for SimplyPats Version 6 Users

SimplyPats Version 6.0.3 contains a suite of re-designed PAT Testing Reports, these are included in addition to the original Portable Appliance Testing Reports supplied with Version 6 prior to V6.0.3. Information and example PDF's of the new Free PAT Reports can be seen here.

Existing Simplypats Version 6 users can download the 6.0.3 update via the SimplyPats Version 6 downloads section on our SimplyPats / PAT testing Forum

The Reports shown below are still included in SimplyPats Version 6 for those users that still want to use them or if a Custom PAT Report has been provided based on one of the original PAT Reports.

Custom PAT Reports can still be provided based on any of the new V2 PAT Reports, please contact us for further information.

Printed and exportable Reports created by SimplyPats Version 6

SimplyPats version 6 ships with a number of standard Reports which can be Printed or exported in the following formats;

PDF
Word
Excel
Tiff
Plain text
HTML

Other export options are available under Save As (.PAT SimplyPats format, CSV and MDB) in the File menu. For more information on this please see Saving and Exporting your Data.

If you would like to view examples of some of the Reports available, you can click on the links below or to the right. Adobe Reader can be installed by following the link at the bottom of this page.

In addition to the standard reports we can produce custom reports to meet specific requirements. These can include features such as a user's own certificate design, watermarked paper, or bar coded labels using various industry standard formats.

Print/Export Results options

Various options exist to change control or change the Reports generated by SimplyPats. The Print Results screen has the following options;

Select all Sites to be included on the current Report or just a selected Site.
Select all Locations to be included on the current Report or just a selected Location.
Show appliances due for retest within a certain date range.
Sort appliances on the current Report by Appliance Id (Numers), Appliance Id (Letters), Appliance Description, Retest Date or Appliance Id (Strict).
Export as PDF and attach to email (requires supported email client).

Simplified Pass and Fails

The Simplified Passes and Fails report contains all the appliances grouped by location. Just a small set of information is displayed containing the Appliance ID, Appliance Description, Test Date, Load, Insulation, Leakage and Earth Continuity values and an overall Pass or Fail status. Fails Report

A report detailing all the failed appliances. Options include; show fails in red, show fail reason, show notes. Individual Sites and Locations can also be selected. Click here to view example pdf.

Pass Report

A report detailing all the passed appliances. Options include; show notes. Individual Sites and Locations can also be selected. Click here to view example pdf.

Pass and Fails Report

A Report detailing passed and failed appliances. Options include; show fails in red, show fail reason and show notes. Individual Sites and Locations can also be selected. Click here to view example pdf.

Appliance Register With Status

This is a simplified register of appliances ordered by site and location and without test data. It lists each appliance ID, Description, Test Date, Retest Date and pass or fail status. Click here to view example pdf.

The register can be presented to a client to inform them of retest dates and to whom it might serve as an asset record.

Current Appliance

This prints the current selected appliance from the main screen in full detail on a single A4 sheet. Click Here to view example pdf.

One Appliance Per Page

This report prints each appliance in a file on a single A4 sheet in the same format as Current Appliance, shown above.

Certificate of Electrical testing (Old Certificate)

This report prints a Certificate of Electrical Testing. Various options are available; Digital Signature, Certificate Serial Number, Certificate Text and Certificate Date Format. Click here to view example pdf.

Certificate (Custom optional certificate, introduced 2008)

As above, this report prints a Certificate of Electrical Testing but has a different design updated in 2008. This was originally introduced for Version 5 but has now been released to work with Version 6. Click here to view example pdf.

Appliance Register By Site

This report prints the register of appliances grouped by site and location. Click here to view example pdf.

Retests Grouped By Date

This report allows you to print a list of appliances grouped according to their retest date. Click here to view example pdf.

Labels

The Labels report is designed to facilitate the printing of Appliance ID labels. A custom report is always required with this as label dimensions differ and it may be desirable to have specific text or graphics on the labels.

SimplyPats Version 6.0.1 introduced the Print PAT Labels feature, which has a dedicated screen for over-printing appliance information onto pre-designed label stock, please contact us for further information if you are interested in this feature.

Excel or CSV Export

The Excel or CSV report is designed to allow the export of test data for use in third party programs or for input to a database or spreadsheet. Again, this report may be used in conjunction with a custom report to allow selection of data fields or to order the data fields in a specific sequence. Click here to download an example CSV export.

Microwave

The Microwaves report contains all the microwave test results with the appliances grouped by site and location. The Microwave Leakage Result and Pass / Fail Status are shown. Click here to view example pdf.

RCD

The RCDs report contains all the RCD test results, the appliances grouped by site and location. The RCD trip time result and test output in mA as well as the RCD Pass / Fail Status are shown. Click here to view example pdf.

Detailed Pass and Fails

The Detailed Passes and Fails report contains all the appliances grouped by location. A comprehensive set of information is displayed containing the Appliance ID, Appliance Description, Test Date, All Electrical Tests as well as Class, Fuse Rating, Appliance Serial Number, PAT Tester Serial Number, Engineer, etc, and an overall Pass or Fail status. Folder Cover

Designed to be used as a front page for presentation of the above reports. Entitled "Portable Appliance Testing Report" it contains the following information: Company Name, Date of First Test, Order Number (stored in the Customer Details screen under Order No), Account Number (Customer Details screen under Notes) and the Customer's Contact Name. Photographs

This report prints out all those appliances that contain photos with their photograph and any notes relating to the photo. The report is formatted as 2 columns to save space. Click here to view example pdf.

Invoice

SimplyPats can automatically generate an invoice based on Price and Repair codes entered into the PAT Tester and time of testing. Price and Repair codes can also be manually entered or bulk entered after the data has been download from the PAT tester or manually entered using the Manual Entry screen if preferred.

Other options include; Invoice price based on Price Schemes, Extra Charges (eg; Travel to Site), Invoice Number, Invoice Date, Invoicee Address (if different to customer address), Apply Discount, Apply a Fixed Price, Save Invoice and Export in various formats such as PDF.
