Downloading your Test Data

Once your PAT Tester and PC have been correctly setup, downloading your data to SimplyPats is fairly straightforward.

Before you download to SimplyPats you need to check some settings and make sure the PAT Tester is connected to your PC using the supplied cable (unless using bluetooth).

Note.. on newer PC's or Laptops you may need to purchase a Serial to USB converter.

Once connected load SimplyPats and check the System Settings Screen, choose your PAT Tester from the pull down menu and set the Baud Rate (Download Speed). You can also check COM Port information here, to see if you have a free Port available for SimplyPats to use.

The Baud Rate and Download Format need to to be set correctly on your PAT Tester, options for this will vary depending on the model of Tester used. Detailed information on this can be found in the SimplyPats Help File or in your PAT Tester Manual, however in all cases the Baud Rate on your PAT Tester needs to be set to the same Rate as selected in SimplyPats.
