Before printing any of the
appliance test results, settings or an invoice, you will be
shown a print preview screen. From this, you can choose how
many copies of the report you want, which pages of the report
you want and so on.
Export Reports
The appliance test results
can now be exported in the following formats:
Rich Text Format - rtf
Excel - xls
Web page format - htm
Adobe Acrobat format - pdf
Text - txt
NOTE ON EXPORTS:
The export to word actually
exports in Rich Text Format which can be opened by the wordpad
program on your computer as well as Microsoft Word if you
own a copy of it. RTF format cannot place images side by side
with text so you may find you need to edit the document to
get the desired results. Similarly the Excel and HTML exports
will not be able to place images exactly because of the limitations
of these programs.
Australia and NewZealand
Support for Australian
and NewZealand 
customers including charging GST as opposed to VAT.
List View
Added ability to edit major
fields within the list view screen. List view can now be resized
to full screen and will remember your column width and screen
size when you leave the SimplyPats Program.
Bulk Replace
Ability to find and Bulk
Replace Appliance Descriptions, Retest Periods, Charge Codes
and Test Dates.
Tree View
If you are running SimplyPats
on a computer with greater than 640 by 480 pixels resolution,
you will see on the right hand side of the screen a treeview,
showing all the sites, locations and appliances in a list.
3 New PAT Testers
Support added for 3 new
PAT Testers including the new Metrel Alpha Pat (including
the Test Solutions Version), Europa Plus and Supernova Plus.
(Clamp current tests on Alphapat currently not supported)
Email and MS Word
Ability to automatically
email or write a word document to the customer from the Customer
Details screen and the main data screen. The word document
has both yours and the customers addresses added and you have
the option to import a body document.
Add Visual Only Tests
You can now add Visual
Only test records, either a Visual Only Pass or a Visual Only
Fail to your file.
Edit User
With version 4 you can
now edit the User field which records who carried out the
PAT testing. This is particularly important if you use the
new Metrel AlphaPat where you cannot enter a User in the PAT
Machine.
New Print Options
New Print options including
Printing the appliances in the order they are sorted in the
program. Printing an Appliance Register between retest date
range and Print all appliances on single sheets of papers.
Also ability to print a range of pages of a report.
Price Schemes
In previous versions of
SimplyPats you could only edit one set of Test and Repair
Prices. In version 4 you can now create different price schemes
- for example a discounted set for good customers. You can
then choose which price scheme you want to apply when you
create an invoice.
Review Customers
Number of tests for each
customer now shown in the Review Customer list. Review Customers
will search for all SimplyPats files in the data folder and
now also in any sub folders underneath the data folder.
Increased File Size
The maximum file size that
SimplyPats can deal with has increased from 6500 records to
9500 records in a single data file. In addition to this the
sorting and list view functions have been redesigned to make
them faster.
Maintain Default Fail Reasons
A new Default fail reasons
screen has been added to allow you to create your own default
fail reasons. You can then use this list when describing why
and apliance has failed, saving you having to manually type
similar fail reasons many times. See Maintain Default Fail
Reasons
Find In Grid
Find function added to
Maintain Dictionary, Maintain Abbreviations and List View
to quickly find a particular entry.
Import Customer Details
Import Customer Address
Details added to the Customer Details screen allowing you
to copy the Customer Address from an existing file so you
don't have to re type it.
Multiple Continuity Or Other Tests
With the Metrel OmegaPat,
BetaPat or AlphaPat it is possible to set up your own test
codes that include continuous tests, i.e. You can carry out
multiple continuity tests on the same appliance before progressing
to the next test. SimplyPats Version 4 will now deal with
tests carried out in this way.
