1) From
the Start Menu select Settings.
|
2) Select
the Connections TAB at the base of the screen.

3) Click
on the Bluetooth Icon
|
4) Make
sure Turn on Bluetooth and Make this device discoverable
are both ticked. Then
click on the Devices TAB at the bottom of the screen

5) Make
sure your LM185 bluetooth adapater is plugged into your
pat tester correctly and that the PAT Tester is switched
on. You should see a slow blue flashing light on the LM185
adapater. On
the PDA, click on the New Partnership... option
|
6) The
PDA will now scan for new devices and after a while should
find the LM185 Serial to Bluetooth adapter.

7) Click
on the Serial Adapter listed and then select the Next button
at the base of the screen.

8) Enter
the PassKey for the LM185 which by default is set to 1234,
then click on the Next button at the base of the screen.

9) Make
sure you tick the Serial Port tick box to say that this
is the service that you want to use on this bluetooth device.
Then click on the Finish button at the base of the screen.

10) Click
on New Outgoing Port
|

11) Click
on Serial Adaptor
|
12) Change
the com port from 0 to Com8 and tick the Secure Connection
tick box and then click on the Finish Button at the base
of the screen.

| 13) You
will see the LM185 Serial to Bluetooth adaptor listed as Com
Port 8. Make a note of this com port as you will need to set
this in SimplyPats Pocket PC when you download from your PAT
Tester. |
