Email Data

To email the currently loaded data file, open the "Tools" menu and select the "Email Data" option (Quick Key Press Ctrl+F4). You can of course click on the Email Data Button on the Main Toolbar. This will enable the currently loaded pat file to be emailed. The default email address that the program inserts into the message is the customers, which must be inserted into the customer details for this function to work. See Also Customer Details

Once the message has been created, you may alter the email address to an alternative address and amend the text in the subject or body.

The customer may open up the Data file by using a demo version of SimplyPats 5 which is available to download from our website, www.simplypats.co.uk. The file is a standard SimplyPats data file which can be imported into Microsoft Excel or Microsoft Access.

Note. To use this function, the default email program must be Outlook Express Version 5.0 or above or Microsoft Outlook. The email function doesnt work with Non Microsoft email programs such as Incredimail etc.

You can also email or write a word document to your customer by clicking on the Email or Word buttons in the Customer Details screen, or by right clicking on the customer address in the bottom right of the Main Screen. Email Selected

If you have highlighted a range of test results on the Main Screen, when you click on the Email Data Button a message will appear asking if you want to email just the selected records.

This option creates a temporary SimplyPats Version 5 file containing just the selected test results, and attaches it to the email created. The temporary file is automatically deleted once the email has been created.
